New Years

So, I have become quite slack in my posts, which is something for me to rectify in the New Year. The past year has been pretty boisterous for me. I've been traveling (by plane as well), I quit smoking, and I have building on friendships that had just begun at the end of last year.

At the end of this year, I find that I feel different. I am looking forward to the New Year with enthusiasm instead of dread. Taking a page from Mr. Light's book, I may make a resolution or two...

1) Update the blog at least once every 2 weeks (I'm sorry, I do suck at this recently)
2) Actively work on getting my books recorded to submit to PodioBooks. I have wanted to do this, but I am having issues finding "the voice"
3) Take a trip that doesn't have a purpose. Go somewhere, just for fun! Most of my trips have a reason behind them. I just want to decided to travel to another place for a concert or skiing instead of for a more defined purpose.

I may add more, but I'll start with these. I urge you all to make your own resolutions and Happy New Year to you all.

"You must stay drunk on writing so reality cannot destroy you."  ~Ray Bradbury

"Writing is a socially acceptable form of schizophrenia."  ~E.L. Doctorow

And lastly, one of my favourite quotes:

"Easy reading is damn hard writing.  ~Nathaniel Hawthorne"
